We will explore several fantastic flying sites on São Miguel, the largest island in the archipelago. There are perfect paragliding areas and calm thermals, while the large, green landing areas provide safe and comfortable landings. Thanks to the lush landscape, it rarely gets too turbulent, making the trip suitable for most pilots.

We will also have the opportunity to fly from the island's impressive volcanoes, giving us spectacular views of the dramatic nature. These unique flying sites offer fantastic conditions and an experience you will never forget!

We also have Nelson with us – one of Portugal’s best instructors, with the Azores as his home base. He has invaluable local knowledge and will help us find the best flying spots each day.

Activities in bad flying weather

If the weather doesn't allow for flying, there are plenty of other great activities on São Miguel:

• Hiking in the island's lush nature reserve and along volcanic craters.

• Bathing in hot springs at Furnas and Caldeira Velha.

• Whale safari , where you can see both dolphins and whales out in the Atlantic Ocean.

• Visit Lagoa do Fogo and Sete Cidades , two of the Azores' most iconic lakes.

• Surfing and SUP along the island's beautiful coastline.

• Explore Ponta Delgada , with its charming streets, restaurants and culture.
