π Booking Terms and Conditions β 1420 Airborne AB
This document outlines the booking terms and conditions for guided trips, tandem flights, and equipment purchases with 1420 Airborne AB. We have done our best to present the terms in a clear and friendly way for easy understanding. In this text, 1420 Airborne AB is referred to as "we" or "us," and you as the customer are referred to as "you." By booking an activity or purchasing a product from us, you agree to these terms. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
Booking and Payment
-
Deposit at booking: When booking a guided trip or activity, you pay a deposit of 20% of the total price. This confirms your booking and is deducted from the final amount.
-
Final payment 45 days before departure: The remaining 80% must be paid no later than 45 days before the trip or activity. You will receive a booking confirmation and payment instructions via email.
-
Late bookings: If you book with less than 45 days until the activity, the full amount is usually due at the time of booking.
-
Booking validity: Your booking is binding once we receive your deposit. If full payment is not received by the deadline, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation and retain the deposit.
Cancellations and Refunds
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel, please notify us by email as soon as possible. Cancellations must be made in writing and confirmed by us. The deposit is non-refundable. Other payments are refunded as follows:
-
More than 45 days before departure: Full refund except the deposit.
-
45 days or fewer before departure: No refund. You are liable for the full amount even if the final payment has not been made.
Tip: We recommend purchasing cancellation insurance from your insurance provider to cover unforeseen events such as illness.
Cancelled or Changed Activities (by us)
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone any activity due to low enrollment, unsuitable weather, illness of a guide/pilot, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will offer to reschedule or refund all payments, including the deposit.
Note: We are not responsible for any external costs you may have incurred (e.g., pre-booked travel or lodging).
Minimum Participants: Trips require a minimum number of participants. If not met, we may cancel the trip up to 30 days before departure. If the trip runs with fewer participants, no compensation or right of cancellation applies.
Trips Cancelled for Other Reasons: Trips may also be cancelled up to 7 days in advance due to unforeseen events such as poor weather.
Interrupted Trips (by you)
If you choose to end your trip early, no refund will be given. Unused services may be refunded minus a handling fee, provided we are not charged for them.
In emergencies (e.g., illness or accident), we will assist with return travel as much as possible.
Personal Requirements and Responsibility
-
Respect for local norms: You are expected to respect local customs and the group. Disruptive behavior may result in removal without refund.
-
Health and eligibility: Good physical health is required. Unlicensed or student pilots must ensure valid licenses and qualified instructors are in place. Failure to meet requirements may result in denied participation without refund.
Age Requirement
Minimum age for tandem flights and guided trips is usually 18. Exceptions may be made with prior approval and parental consent.
Insurance
We carry liability insurance. However, you are responsible for having your own travel and accident insurance. Ensure your policy covers the type of activities you will be doing. We also recommend cancellation coverage.
Safety and Responsibility During Activities
Your safety is our top priority. You must follow all instructions from guides or pilots. Failure to do so may result in termination of participation without refund. Inform us of any relevant health conditions in advance. No participation is allowed under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for events outside our control (e.g., natural disasters, war, pandemics). In such cases, we will try to reschedule or adapt the activity. Compensation is limited to refunds under these terms and applicable law.
