Pilot 2
P2 course – take the step towards a full pilot license 🪂
Is it time to start flying independently all over the world?
With our P2 course , you take the final step towards becoming an independent pilot with international validity .
The course gives you a Pilot 2 (P2) license – which means you can fly all over the world and support other pilots with lower license levels.
If you meet the entry requirements according to SSFF's Operations Manual and want to deepen your knowledge in theory, risk management and advanced flight, this course is for you.
Course structure
You get the most out of P2 training during our trips abroad , where we practice distance and flying tasks in stable weather conditions.
We also offer training in Åre , where we have varying terrain, access to skilifts and good conditions for both thermals and long-distance flying.
Theory part
The theory includes both repetition and in-depth study of:
-
aerodynamics and aeronautics
-
meteorology and advanced weather assessments
-
advanced flight maneuvers and critical situations
-
thermal and long-distance flying
-
airspace and regulations
In addition, we focus on risk analysis, decision-making and mental factors that affect flying – important parts of being able to fly safely and responsibly.
Practical part
The practical training works more like an examination where you get to show your experience and skills as a pilot.
You will complete at least five flights with different missions , where you will be assessed on planning, safety and execution.
Everything is documented according to the training manual and student card , and all elements must be approved to obtain a P2 license.
