SIV week in Ölüdeniz with 1420 Airborne – Flight, development and Butterfly Valley
We at 1420 Airborne have just returned from a fantastic week in Ölüdeniz where we held an intensive and educational SIV course. With impressive efforts from the participants, it was a week full of development, great flights and a great atmosphere – and not least: no incidents or accidents.
The weather was flyable almost every day, with only one rest day during the week. This gave us plenty of opportunities to perform both basic and advanced exercises – from full stalls and spins to side flips. The students were focused, alert and really sharp in the air. It is always fun to see the confidence grow from the first exercise to the last landing.
To end the week, we took a trip to the iconic Butterfly Valley – a magical place where turquoise waters meet dramatic cliffs. It was a memory to last a lifetime and a perfect end to the course.
Thank you to all participants for your courage, your curiosity and the good atmosphere you contributed throughout the week. And thank you Ölüdeniz – see you again!
